This unit walks students through the research process from pre-writing to publishing using cars as the topic, but it could be adapted for any basic research subject. In this lesson students learn how to write an informational paper on a friend or thing. They will then take or find pictures that will represent the topic or person that they chose. This lesson is a great resource for a Health class when studying nutrition as well as Directed Study or Study Skill classes with life skills standards. Students will take photos of polygons in the real world, find their perimeter, and present their photos and findings in an Adobe Spark creation.

The Utah Core Standard that this lesson incorporates is the College and Career Awareness Core (Strand 4, Standard 2). The goal of this lesson is to teach various self-care skills, have students demonstrate their practice of self-care through taking pictures and creating an Adobe Express poster of at least two images (two activites). This lesson takes approximately 45 minutes and is best taught face-to-face. Students will submit their digital posters via Canvas. This activity is to assess whether Spanish 2 students have mastered the reflexive verbs which describe a daily routine for getting ready for the day. Students have been taught the verbs' meanings and how to conjugate them. Students have practiced writing, speaking and listening to these reflexive verbs for two weeks.The World Language Standard for Spanish 2 I would use is NH.PC.3 ¨I can present on familiar and everyday topics using simple sentences most of the time.¨
