This is a lesson about learning U.S. symbols, states, and flags using an Adobe Spark webpage to present material on a projector, computer lab, or individual student devices. Students will create an Adobe Spark collage, presentation, or video using textor audio with photos they took and/or copyright-friendly photos properly cited.  

This website provides resources for teachers to support creativity in the classroom. It contains lesson plans, professional development opportunities, creative challenges, and much more.

In this lesson, students will research, organize and create a 2-3 minute digital story about 1 of 3 different cultures that have influenced Utah's culture. They can choose from the Fremont People, the Ute Indians, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pioneers. There are some background lessons and information that will need to be covered in order to finish this final project for 4th grade Utah Social Studies Standard 2 Objective 1. These lessons are linked and highlighted in the Teacher Background section of this lesson plan.There are a few worksheets and mini-lessons (that can be taught in a synchronous manner) associated with this final project that could take 2-3 days to complete and then the digital story can be finished in an hour or two. The final presentation and the mini assignments could all include small group discussions, whole class instruction, and could easily be tailored to teach to students learning virtually.The mini-lessons and supplimental information were found through the UEN website and a youtube video by Nick Epling. This week Dani and Jared welcome Valentina Arismendi Chirinos to UEN Homeroom. Valentina is a student at the University of North Carolina who recently presented at the Adobe Max conference on the topic of Digital Literacy. Our conversation focused on topics such as: how young people define digital literacy, the role that digital literacy plays in developing critical thinking skills and how Adobe digital tools help students explore digital literacy through creating online projects.

A fun way for students to complete a visual book report using Adobe Express video maker. Not only is it more enjoyable than typing up pages of information, but the whole class can enjoy them as well. This lesson plan utilizes the iPad to solidify student understanding of volume. This lesson plan can be adapted to meet any volume standard at any grade level. Students will explore different shapes and learn how to find the volume of shapes. They will create 3-D shapes using Tayasui sketches orAdobe illustrator. This lesson plan is designed to help middle school teachers teach their students create an Adobe Spark Page Western Expansion Timeline. The activites in the lesson can be completed in two class periods (45 min each). The lesson plan is created by the author (Jill Anderson) using resources from Adobe Spark and Creative Commons.

This lesson was designed to help students break down a problem into steps, creating a comic strip about their problem, writing about the problem and then taking everything they have done and creating their own Adobe Spark presentation with commentary. This provides students the opportunity and an alternate way to present without having to stand in front of the class. They are writing a narrative about a personal experience and creating their own information. 

This lesson plan is created to help students learn about the various National Parks within Utah and to understand how each of the environments are impacted by signifact forces. Students will choose a National Park to study within Utah and create an Adobe Spark Page sharing the information they have learned and convincing others to come visit their National Park.
