Students will increase their knowledge of Internet safety. Students will explore and identify dangers on the Internet and learn ways to avoid situations that might be threatening or harmful.

This lesson will be creating a digital story focused around standard,Data and Analysis (DA):Computing systems exist to process data. The amount of digital data generated in the world is rapidly expanding, and the need to process data effectively is increasingly important. Data is collected and stored so it can be analyzed to better understand the world and make more accurate predictions.Standard 2.DA.1Demonstrate how to store, copy, search, retrieve, modify and delete information using a computing device, and define the information stored as data. (Practice 4: Developing and Using Abstractions)Students will demonstrate how to create, modify, and save projects using the devices, platforms, applications, and software available. Data can be images, text documents, audio files, software programs or apps, video files, etc. The information is specific to data, not text within a single text document.

Students will learn about the functions and purposes of responsible dating including dating behaviors, values, responsibilities and refusal skills.

Students will be able to explore their feeling on love. They will first write down their feelings. Then as a class talk about love and infatuation, and what the differences are. Students will learn about the Ladder of Love and write a love poem of their own.

Students will be able to describe the decision-making process, including acceptance of personal responsibility for the consequences of the decision and describe the decision-making process (identify problem, brainstorm possible solutions, explore and evaluate, make a decision and act on it, evaluate and accept responsibility for results).

The decisions teenagers make are influenced by many factors. This lesson will help students differentiate between a variety of influences and recognize the impact these influences have on decision making.This lesson is written as an interdisciplinary unit for both the Health and Language Arts classrooms. It can however, be taught in just one of the classes. 

This is a lesson plan to end a unit on Narrative.  During the unit, students came up with a time in their lives that was significant ("a defining moment") and will tell their stories digitally -- through a photo journal using Google docs. The lesson is a remix of Google's Applied Digital Skills lesson "Create a Photo in Google Docs".  

In this lesson, students will learn about the effects of deforestation and why people cut down trees. The will transfer the learned knowlede into a paragraph that includes a topic sentence, facts and details from the resources, and a concluding sentence.

Students will use what they have learned about descriptive writing--show don’t tell, vivid verbs and adjectives, sensory details, and figurative language--to write a snapshot detailed description of a picture they find or create.  Students select a picture of their choice and then write an extended paragraph. 

This lesson plan is intended to support students as their learn how to create 2 different shapes with the same area, but a different perimeter, or vice versa. The lesson plan has a link to a resource online found through eMedia. 

Students will be assessed for the unit on plants by designing a angiosperm, and creating a field guide for it.

This lesson is designed for Kindergarten to create an online digital poster about themselves.  It can be used for any grades, however, the standards I used are for Kindergarten.

This is a final lesson in a unit teaching German food and drink vocabulary and restaurant customs and vocabulary.
