This lesson plan is for 2nd grade science. Students take or use a photo of an animal and edit it using Adobe or a similar program to add labels of animal features. Students will conduct research about the animal and use notes to create the labels and present their photo to the class and explain the functions of the labeled features to the class.

This is a lesson for introducing Similes with photography. Students will learn about Similes, then use photography to gain a deeper understanding and show their learning. They will take original pictures and borrow pictures from online to illustrate their chosen similes.They will be introduced to Wikimedia Commons, a great website for finding openly-licensed photographs. This lesson plan meets the secondary requirements for The Engish Language Arts Standard Reading: Literature Grades 7-12 with the option of meeting the additional standard of Speaking and Listening. This lesson offers specific details with flexibility for implementation in the classroom. Students can work independently or in groups and be able to create their final book project using technology.

Students will take digital pictures of Utah symbols and landmarks they find in their neighborhoods or communities. They will email them to their teacher, and the teacher will put them into a slideshow or movie to share with the class. This lesson was created by Traci Rindlisbach. 

This lesson will allow students to create their own meme or GIF dipicting a political cartoon during the time of the American Revolution. Students will be able to observe different cartoons from the time period and discuss their meaning.

This lesson plan is a 4th grade opinion writing project. This project is planned to take 2-3 weeks to fully complete. Students will complete various assignments online to help guide them towards their opinion of the prompt, "Which makes a better pet: a cat or a dog?"
