Stephanie Howell posted this a few weeks ago and I thought, "What a great way to connect with students at the beginning of the year and then throughout the year!" Using her template, a Google add-on called Autocrat, and her video tutorial, you can set up a Google Form/Sheet to automatically send students a digital birthday card throughout the year. It takes about 20 minutes to set up but then it runs automatically throughout the year!
The focus of the Accurate Counting intervention is counting known quantities with one-to-one correspondence. This intervention works on counting up to ten objects or pictures that are in a straight line.

This lesson promotes an understanding of why a diverse collection is required in school and public libraries. It will be acknowledged that individual reading choices are widely differentiated. Methods on making personal reading choices will be explored. Ideally this lesson would be used the fourth week of September, in conjunction with Banned Book Week
