This is a lesson plan designed for sixth grade students to create a podcast outlining highlighting a career in the audio/visual career cluster. By completing this project students are participating in a project that builds many skills in the audio/visual career cluster. The project is done using iPads with the Garage Band App. 

This is a project designed for the College and Career Awareness course in order to help students to participate in a simulated CTSO event.  It is based on the Technology Student Association (TSA) Middle School Competition called "Children's Stories."  In groups, they will be creating an illustrated book that teaches children about technology.  While this has been designed as a 3 day project, there is a lot of flexibility depending on schedules and if you want to give additional time outside of class for them to work on it or more time in class.

This Lesson Plan involves a College Exploration Research Project. Students should use Adobe Spark to create a WebPage with licensed (or cited) images concerning their college of choice. This lesson is to help students understand the importance of being a good digital citizen. There are resources attached for students to look through to help them with their assignment. We must all learn to be good digitial citizens. This is a 5 day lesson plan that will introduce students to the variety of careers in the fashion, apparel and textile industries.  Students will be introduced to the pathway and degrees available to them in Utah.  Students will be able to participate in different aspects of the industry by designing and creating a textile project. 

This lesson plan focuses on the careers of Food Photography and Food Styling. It was written for the College and Career Awareness Course which explores a variety of careers in 8th grade. This Genius Hour project will focus on student’s in special education and their IEP transition goals related to their career interests. Students will select one career of interest to them and conduct research, interview people in the field, job shadow, etc. to develop a presentation on their findings. 

This lesson from the Nearpod Library teaches students about the different ways that they can get money for colleges. It focuses on scholarships and FAFSA.
The resource includes interactive elements such as Draw It, Open Ended Questions, Collaborate Boards, videos and quiz questions.

This lesson is a mental health/self care lesson given by the school counseling team to high school students.  They lesson includes common daily stressors, resources to get help, a definition of self care, and an activity to help students alleviate their stress.  This lesson aligns with the Utah model for College and Career Readiness School Counseling Program for emotional and social supports.This lesson is created by Jill Hinckley, Level II Utah School Counselor.
