This is a lesson plan where students create a movie about quadrilaterals and naming them by their attributes.
This lesson plan asks students to create a new, original film or podcast that is based on a specific element from a text (either a film, written text, or podcast). Students will analyze their chosen text, focusing specifically on character, theme, narrative style, use of sound, or setting analysis. This project will be taught asynchronously over the course of 5-6 class periods.
This is a lesson to help students practice retelling a story about a person they have read about in a biography. They will practice retelling a story in sequential order, with at least 3 details about that person. They will learn to use a digital resource for creating their story and will practice other technology skills (searching for images online, typing, describing their chosen person in a clear way). I have not used it yet; it will most likely require some adjusting after I've worked through it with students.
Creating a Digital Story for 2nd Grade by Using Story Jumper
Students will engage with one another to design, create, and build a mini golf course hole using recycled materials. Once completed, the students will need to explain how their hole works using scientific terminolgy such as force and gravity. This hands-on, fun, creative activity will serve as an assessment tool on what students understand about the concept of force and gravity.
Students will explore how to have a positive digital identity. They will demonstrate their learning by creating a digital portfolio that reflects their personal interests, achievements, and goals
This lesson will focus on what a strong password is and how to create one.
This lesson plan will cover in part standard 2.G.3. We will introduce the terms "half" and "fourths". Students will discriminate between equally divided wholes and nonequally divided wholes. Students will be assessed to determine if they can accurately identify and divide into halves and fourths.
This is a lesson plan used in Early Childhood Education1 to teach students about Creative Arts. Course is for 10-12th grade.
Creative Notetaking LessonThis lesson is covers the 5th grade Science standard listed below. Students work through a creative notetaking notebook where they use a model, video, reading and simulation to learn how plants use air, water and energy from the sun to produce the matter they need to grow. This lesson can be asynchronous and can be virtual. It can also be something you do face-to-face with students. I took lessons and acitvities from Science lessons created and used by Granite School District. Standard 5.3.1Construct an explanation that plants use air, water, and energy from sunlight to produce plant matter needed for growth. Emphasize photosynthesis at a conceptual level and that plant matter comes mostly from air and water, not from the soil.
This is a story from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. The purpose of Native American stories is not only to entertain, their primary purpose is to educate. Our story teaches a lesson about what happens to Coyote when he chooses to be irresponsible. Coyote is a trickster. He tries to trick the people, but they already know what he is capable of doing and how far he will go to get his way. He has a bag full of tricks. This story and all other Coyote Stories should only be told during the winter months.

Utah Culinary 2 Strands and Standards
This is a one-day lesson intended to fill a 60-75 minute class period. It is intended to review basic safety and sanitation principles with students as well as extend learning into deeper topics. This lesson is intended to be a review, but also to fill in gaps in student learning and understanding. The worksheet aspect is so that students have a tangable take-away from the activity. It also slows them down and makes them absorb the information more.
In this lesson plan, educators will learn to teach students how to stack cups.
Students will learn basic concepts surrounding Cyber Bullying.Students will then produce a Tee shirt idea about Cyber Bullying.
Students will learn what cyber-bullying is, the consequences of it, and how to handle a cyber-bullying situation effectively.Activities are provided which take students through real-life situations. They have the opportunity to evaluate how they might feel and how they would act in certain situations.
After listening to, and discussing the various elements of podcasts, students will have the opportunity to employ what they've learned by planning, developing, and producing their own podcasts. This is a culminating project that will happen at the end of the PODCAST Unit. This will take up classes 5 through 10 in a 10 class unit and will take approximately 7 hours of work time to complete. While this lesson could be asynchronous or synchronous, the greatest successes would take place in the classroom with face to face instruction and the provided materials for production.
