Students will whistle while they work on this lesson, creating a photomontage movie of their interpretation of a favorite song's lyrics that will end everyone's day on a high note.

This assignment will go viral with students as they think about the meanings of words and images in public service announcements from YouTube before creating a PSA of their own.

The focus of this project will be a personal narrative of an event or situation that caused a major change in the students' lives for the better. Instead of a traditional written story, students are required to complete a digital story using school tools available to them through the school license or on their personal devices. The face-to-face lesson instruction will take 45 minutes. The remainder of the 90-minute block will be given to students to work on their projects. An additional class period should be added to finish, revise, edit, and share their projects within small groups. This plan is for high school grade levels. 

 This speech therapy lesson focuses on building a personal narrative of something that is special about the student themselves, in order to help students build expressive language skills and vocabulary skills, as well as create a personal digital storytelling video to showcase to others. Students will complete a digital story using their school chromebook devices. The face-to-face instructions/lesson of vocabulary and sentence starter examples will take two 25-minute speech therapy sessions. The students will be given time to work on their projects during a third and fourth 25-minute speech therapy session. An additional session will be reserved for students to share their projects in a small group. This lesson plan is designed for middle school to high school grade levels.

Students are introduced to the genre of multimedia presentations through a review and analysis of online presentations. They then apply what they have learned to create their own multimedia presentations.

This lesson plan is intended for 1st grade students. It is a project type lesson for writing a personal narrative about what they did over the summer using Adobe Spark to create a digital story. 

In this lesson, students will research, organize and create a 2-3 minute digital story about 1 of 3 different cultures that have influenced Utah's culture. They can choose from the Fremont People, the Ute Indians, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pioneers. There are some background lessons and information that will need to be covered in order to finish this final project for 4th grade Utah Social Studies Standard 2 Objective 1. These lessons are linked and highlighted in the Teacher Background section of this lesson plan.There are a few worksheets and mini-lessons (that can be taught in a synchronous manner) associated with this final project that could take 2-3 days to complete and then the digital story can be finished in an hour or two.
