This is a lesson that involves students learning and knowing about the different habitats. Students will have a chance to share their knowledge by creating a video about their habitat using an iMovie as a means to demonstrate their knowledge. They are asked to pick one habitat, give facts and details to it, ,record their voices, and pick imaged that match it. Each video should be 1-3 minutes long. 

In this 4 week lesson students learn about different habitats and then use the pages app and keynote app to create a report and presentation on the habitat learned about.

This is a research lesson for second grade! After completeing your habitat lessons this project will help students dive deeper into habitats as well as learning how to create a reserch project. This lesson plan is designed to go along with a classroom reading of Hamlet for high school students (grades 9-12). This lesson is designed to help students with their close reading skills and help them to create a deeper understanding of what is going on in one of Hamlet's soliloquies in the play. The lesson can be adapted for any of the soliloquies found in Hamlet (along with other Shakespearean plays). This lesson plan allows students to come outside of the difficulty of Shakespearean language and create meaning through connecting the words to artwork. It would be appropriate as an individual assignment, as well as an assignment for partners or small groups. 

In this lesson plan, educators will teach their students the rules and positions of handball in a 70 minute lesson.

"Handsome Coyote and Wildcat" is a Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation tale. Coyote and Wildcate give us lesson in vanity.  Many Native American tribes have "Coyote Stories." Coyote stories are traditionally only told in the winter season. Coyote stories are meant to entertain or instruct, or both. After reading this tale, students will engage in a lesson of "summarizing" the story. 

Through story and media activities, students will learn about the concept of "Bucket filling" and submit a sample via Opinion ways they plan to use bucket filling. The purpose of the lesson is to teach awareness of how you treat others can have an effect on your own happiness and how your interactions can have an effect on yourself, others and the community.

The students will play a jeopardy game for a review for the health unit test.

Students will learn about and be able to apply different aspects of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. They will understand how physical activity impacts personal health. The students will rotate through four academic stations that include a technology station, two exploration stations and a text station.

We will discuss give examples and talk about proper portion sizes based on MyPlate. Then students will create their own MyPlate, using cut outs from food magazines.

The students will learn about respecting their self and others. Students will learn how important self esteem is to a good mental and physical health.

Students will explore the impact of magazine advertisements on body image and individual purchasing.

This is a unit of study that focuses on Healthy Lifestyles. Students will learn about healthy eating, sleep and exercise . They will track their data and set a goal to improve their health.

Students will explore healthy eating patterns as they relate to MyPlate. There is a PowerPoint and a note guide to accompany this lesson. A mini-lab recipe, (a lab that will only take half of a class period), will be provided to help teach the concepts of the lesson. A fun, take home junk food makeover cooking assignment will be given at the end.

3rd grade students will learn about the importance of good nutrition. They will learn about the nutrients in our food and how they help us to stay healthy.

As teens develop relationships, it is pertinent that they grow an understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationships. This lesson focuses on the basics of relationships and dating violence.
