This lesson plan is intended to support students as their learn how to create 2 different shapes with the same area, but a different perimeter, or vice versa. The lesson plan has a link to a resource online found through eMedia.

Review the environmental factors that make the Earth habitable and compare them to other worlds within our Solar System. Use creative thinking to design an alien life form suited for specific environmental conditions on an extra-terrestrial world within our Solar System.
Students will be assessed for the unit on plants by designing a angiosperm, and creating a field guide for it.
Get to know your students by having them make a poster about themselves in Google Drawings.
What would it be like to create a statue? Today you are going to be an artist creating a statue for the National Statuary Hall Collection!
The design of airline terminals varies widely. The sketches below show airline terminals from several cities. The designs are quite dissimilar. Some involve circular arcs; others are rectangular; some are quite irregular. Which is optimal for operations? Develop a mathematical model for airport design and operation. Use your model to argue for the optimality of your specified design. Explain how it would operate.
This lesson is designed for Kindergarten to create an online digital poster about themselves. It can be used for any grades, however, the standards I used are for Kindergarten.
This lesson plan is a cumulative activity for SEED 4.1.1Construct an explanation from evidence that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction.Students create and write about a unique creature with a focus on structures leading to its survival. This video takes a tour of the Hogle Zoo African Savanna exhibit and also discusses what elements go into creating an exhibit.
In this instructional video, the Hogle Zoo explains how to use the lesson plan "How to make an Exhibit."
By completing this activity, students will have a better understanding of what habitats are and what living things need to survive in their habitats. Students will create a model of an animal's habitat at a zoo. Each exhibit that the student's design will be uniquely suited to an individual species and its specific habitat needs. When all of the exhibits are combined to make a zoo, the lesson will also emphasize s the diversity of living things and underscore the everyday needs of living things as the exhibits will need to provide similar elements for the animal's survival.
This video asks you to identify habitat needs, animal adaptation and more while on a tour of the African Savanna exhibit at the Hogle Zoo.
Learn how to create Infographic using Google Drawings.
Welcome to 2.007! This course is a first subject in engineering design. With your help, this course will be a great learning experience exposing you to interesting material, challenging you to think deeply, and providing skills useful in professional practice. A major element of the course is design of a robot to participate in a challenge that changes from year to year. This year, the theme is cleaning up the planet as inspired by the movie Wall-E.
Studens will create a digital badge using Google Slides and Drawings
Designing inclusive instruction takes intentional planning and collaboration. The goal of these modules is to learn more about Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a framework developed by CAST, and how to support educators to design learning experiences that are inclusive for each and every learner.
