This resource is a Google Site that houses an entire recorder unit for elementary music. Recorder is typically taught in 3rd and/or 4th grade elementary music. This recourse could also be used if there is no music specialist at your school. It is ment to be all-inclusive. Students will work their way through the site from white belt all the way to black belt (and beyond). Students will practice the material on each belt's page then test for their belt. Teachers can allow students to test for belts in person or students can record themselves and turn in the recording. Belts are to be rewarded based on the rubric in the lesson plan. Belts can take many forms, like string around to recorder, colored beads, colored rubber bands, or even a tracker chart in class. I hope you enjoy this unit.
