In this unit of study, students will design, build, program, and test a small fan-powered "robot" created with an Arduino controller. The drone must move a certain distance, then stop. This unit integrates nine STEM attributes and was developed as part of the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership's Teacher Leadership Team. This template is an instructional tool that can be used to guide elementary students (grades 2-5) through the reading strategy of questioning. The template is based on the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) approach in which students classify questions according to type and then provide answers from text. The template was designed to be used with the Feature Story, The Dance of Life, by students in grades 2-5. It is a PDF document that can be copied and distributed to students.
This resource is a Google Site that houses an entire recorder unit for elementary music. Recorder is typically taught in 3rd and/or 4th grade elementary music. This recourse could also be used if there is no music specialist at your school. It is ment to be all-inclusive. Students will work their way through the site from white belt all the way to black belt (and beyond). Students will practice the material on each belt's page then test for their belt. Teachers can allow students to test for belts in person or students can record themselves and turn in the recording. Belts are to be rewarded based on the rubric in the lesson plan. Belts can take many forms, like string around to recorder, colored beads, colored rubber bands, or even a tracker chart in class. I hope you enjoy this unit.

It includes Women's Suffrage, The Progressive Movement, The Rise of the Temperance Movement, and the 1800s-1920s.This lesson will be presented in a primarily synchronous, face-to-face manner.
