This is a lesson plan designed for sixth grade students to create a podcast outlining highlighting a career in the audio/visual career cluster. By completing this project students are participating in a project that builds many skills in the audio/visual career cluster. The project is done using iPads with the Garage Band App. 

This lesson will allow students to create their own meme or GIF dipicting a political cartoon during the time of the American Revolution. Students will be able to observe different cartoons from the time period and discuss their meaning.

This lesson plan is a 4th grade opinion writing project. This project is planned to take 2-3 weeks to fully complete. Students will complete various assignments online to help guide them towards their opinion of the prompt, "Which makes a better pet: a cat or a dog?" Students will be using Google Docs to write their opinion paper, Lucid Charts to organize their writing in a graphic organizer, and Adobe Spark to create their final product on this opinion project. Througout the lesson students will engage with the whole class, with partners or small group work, and complete individual work.

Students will learn the basics about cereal grains. They will learn the main seven types of grains, the nutritional value found in cereal, and they will cook with a grain. They will also be able to taste cereal and compare cereal with and without sugar being added.

This set of lessons extends over several weeks and incorporates all acts of Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible. Students will closely read The Crucible. Students will cite textual evidence and make interpretations about character development.Students will combine the textual evidence with their interpretations and write interpretive statements. In the culminating activity, students will write a character analysis.

Sharing quality literature provides the teacher with great opportunities for the class to discuss the interactions and feelings of people. It also allows the students to make connections based on their own feelings and experiences.

Using popular trade books students will create a character map by first working on their own, and then in small groups. Students will share their work with the whole class.

Students will be able to explain good hygiene and provide examples. The lesson will explore disease prevention, treating colds and flu's, and negative effects of poor hygiene habits.

This is a project designed for the College and Career Awareness course in order to help students to participate in a simulated CTSO event.  It is based on the Technology Student Association (TSA) Middle School Competition called "Children's Stories."  In groups, they will be creating an illustrated book that teaches children about technology.  While this has been designed as a 3 day project, there is a lot of flexibility depending on schedules and if you want to give additional time outside of class for them to work on it or more time in class.
