In this lesson students will learn about the different locations within a community and the function the have within the community. They will gain an udnerstanding of the diffent funcitons of the locations. Through a walking tour of their community, students will be able to use and iPad to take photos of the different locations in the community and create a simple iMovie that puts there photos together and alows them to share what they know about the location and how it benefits their community. Photo Citation:- Busby, Rebecca. In this activity students will collaborate as a team to build a virtual commnuity garden on Google Jamboard.  Individually students will need to demonstrate how area and perimeter are caculated after making a model of a garden plot using square units.  

Students will learn about different jobs and professions of people in the community.

This is a Preschool learning activity about Community Helpers. It is designed to be done at home, on Preschool off-days, with assistance from an adult. Students will be working through a Google Slide presentation with videos teaching about 5 different community helpers, and taking notes and adding pictures about the Community Helpers they learned about. 

This lesson plan can be used to help students build the foundation for comparing and contrasting items which will lead to being able to sort key details in text. 

This lesson plan is to be used for a reading lesson.  The students will choose a fiction story and get it approved by the teacher.  Then they will take notes as they read to compare and contrast either characters, settings, or events in the story.  After finishing the book, the students will create a venn diagram in Pages on Ipad and submit that to the teacher.  The students needs to have three facts for each contrast and comparison.

The purpose of this activity is two fold. The first is to show students that information can be found in both print and digital formats. The second is help the student in the Spanish class to understand another what another country is like.

Students will first compare themselves to each other. They will then read a story and compare and contrast the characters in the story. They will use their iPads to take and edit a photo. They will also edit a Pages template to add show they understand how to compare characters in a story and how those characters change throughout the story.

Students will research different colleges they would potentially be interested in and then complete a college comparison worksheet.

Using Google Sheets, students will use the Cultural Gram section in Utah Online Libary to predict, compare, and contrast facts about a country of their choice along with facts of the United States.  Then using Google sheets, the students will create graphs from the gathered information.

Using guided notes, students will learn what comparison shopping is, how it can help consumers, and when it makes sense to comparison shop
