This lesson takes students through 3 iPad apps to explore and explain animal habitats. Students will use the drawing tool in Pages to complete two pictures of animal habitats, use Keynote to follow links to San Diego zoo cameras and record their own audio describing the exhibits, and finally use iMovie to record themselves in their favorite animal habitat!*The thumbnail image was taken by Lindsay Stahl at the Living Planet Aquarium

This video is a read aloud of the children's book Caps For Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. Caps For Sale is about a peddler who walks along the countryside offering caps for sale. The peddler carries his caps on his head. He doesn't have much success so he takes a rest by a tree and when he wakes, his caps are missing. Read the story to find out what happens to the caps.

Students will practice their design and creativity skills with this project. They will need to make a promotion or advertisement for their favorite team or band/singer. They are in charge of creating a new poster using Pages or a 30-60 second promotional video using iMovie.The purpose of this assignment is to show that they know and understand design principles and can apply them to make an attractive and relevant promotion. This is a lesson plan designed for sixth grade students to make a video showing how to throw underhand in their choice of sport or activity, as if they were going to teach how to throw to a first grader. The project is done using iPads with the camera and iMovie apps.
