In this lesson students will learn about the different locations within a community and the function the have within the community. They will gain an udnerstanding of the diffent funcitons of the locations. Through a walking tour of their community, students will be able to use and iPad to take photos of the different locations in the community and create a simple iMovie that puts there photos together and alows them to share what they know about the location and how it benefits their community. This is a great Nearpod on getting to know Utah. I used this in migrant summer school this year, I taught 6th grade and my students learned a great deal about the state they live in. They really found it to be useful and informative.
