The Big6 is a six-stage model to help anyone solve problems or make decisions by using information. Students can use this model to guide them through the research process. This resource is a lesson plan to guide students through a research project about the American Civil War.

Artificial intelligence is trained on real-world data that people have given it, and if that data contains biases (or is incomplete), the AI can end up being biased, too. Trains arrive often at a central Station, the nexus for many commuter trains from suburbs of larger cities on a "commuter" line. Most trains are long (perhaps 10 or more cars long). The distance a passenger has to walk to exit the train area is quite long. Each train car has only two exits, one near each end so that the cars can carry as many people as possible. Each train car has a center aisle and there are two seats on one side and three seats on the other for each row of seats.

In this lesson, students will explore the differences between early Mormon Pioneer settlement and other Utah Settlement from non-Mormon Groups. The towns of Goshen and Eureka are used as case studies. Students will view maps and photos from these two geographically close locations to compare the spatial expression (layout), built environment (human-made), and place names of each location. Students will generalize these patterns to identify characteristics of Mormon Pioneer settlement and Mining settlements from around the same time.

Science Phenomena: HS Physical Science - Waves and Information - The Rubens' tube was invented by German physicist Heinrich Rubens in 1905. It is a tube that is sealed at both ends in includes a flammable gas like propane. A speaker is attached to one end of the tube so sound waves can be transmitted thought the air/gas mixture. Small holes are drilled in the top of the tube and when the air/gas mixture emerges it creates a flame. As sound is played standing waves are created in the flames that change as the frequency of the waves is changed.
