Once students have had an introductory density lesson and practice calculating density from mass and volume measurements, this lesson serves as follow-up to allow students to think critically about what makes one object more or less dense than another and to conduct an experiment to measure density of similar objects.

Students will assess their career aspirations, evaluate and compare career opportunities based on aptitudes and interests, and plan a career while understanding the income potential of that chosen career.

In this mini-unit, students begin by creating a career plan and an education plan. After learning financial aid vocabulary concepts, students will play an online game called “Payback” to apply knowledge learned about paying for college. The activity concludes with students creating a personal resume and taking notes on job interview tips.

This lesson plan is a 4th grade opinion writing project. This project is planned to take 2-3 weeks to fully complete. Students will complete various assignments online to help guide them towards their opinion of the prompt, "Which makes a better pet: a cat or a dog?" Students will be using Google Docs to write their opinion paper, Lucid Charts to organize their writing in a graphic organizer, and Adobe Spark to create their final product on this opinion project. Througout the lesson students will engage with the whole class, with partners or small group work, and complete individual work. 

An introductory lesson that overviews the four main causes of World War I.Lesson focuses mainly on Conflict, Imperialism, Militarism, Nationalism and System of Alliances.Enduring Understanding:Students will understand the causes and effects of WWI on our world today.

Students will learn about different family traditions and holiday celebrations from around the world.

After reviewing the positives and negatives of cell phones and cell phone usage safety tips, students will explore a scenario in which a friendly relationship turns to a bullying one involving cell phones and computers.

History contains the stories of men, women and children. Biographies and personal histories add to the understanding of a time and place.

Students will learn the basics about cereal grains. They will learn the main seven types of grains, the nutritional value found in cereal, and they will cook with a grain. They will also be able to taste cereal and compare cereal with and without sugar being added.

In this lesson students will learn about the cycle of violence and how to stand up against violence in school.

In this lesson students will understand the impact of attitude and disposition when facing challenges and Identify positive ways to deal with challenges and adversity.

This set of lessons extends over several weeks and incorporates all acts of Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible. Students will closely read The Crucible. Students will cite textual evidence and make interpretations about character development.Students will combine the textual evidence with their interpretations and write interpretive statements. In the culminating activity, students will write a character analysis.

Sharing quality literature provides the teacher with great opportunities for the class to discuss the interactions and feelings of people. It also allows the students to make connections based on their own feelings and experiences.

Using popular trade books students will create a character map by first working on their own, and then in small groups. Students will share their work with the whole class.

Students will be able to explain good hygiene and provide examples. The lesson will explore disease prevention, treating colds and flu's, and negative effects of poor hygiene habits.

This is the lesson plan for 4th grade Chinese DLI - Culture emmersion. All the contents are designed by my own teaching experience. The students need to be intermediate to advanced low level to learn with this lesson plan.

Students will learn how to handle grievances without getting angry or using violence.

This lesson uses My Plate to help students learn how many servings they need from each food group.

Students will read from selected materials about earthquakes, volcanoes, continental features, ocean floor features, rocks and/or fossils, and develop a question to investigate.
