This activity shares ideas on how to spotlight each student in your classroom.
This is a lesson plan using a cute story called "The Bear Snores On." In the story, the bear hibernates, and other animals join him in his den. While he sleeps the animals warm themselves by a fire and eat treats. The bear eventually wakes up and scares the other animals. They offer him treats and he joins in their winter party. Eventually the other animals get sleepy and the bear is awake. The story is a springboard for a discussion about hibernation. The lesson is meant for younger children who don't need a lot of information about hibernation, just a brief introduction. Image is a still shot from https://youtu.be/OhrhcsICrE8.
