Prostart Cooking Method Video Demonstrations.
Students will review cooking terminology discussed in Foods I using a packet and game. The students will also be participating in a knife skills lab.
Cooking terms
This is a lesson plan created to help students in 6th grade cement their understanding of the digital citizenship they have learned in their years of elementary school. This will be done as a collaborative group project. Students will revieiw the ISTE Digital Citizen standards, create Interland-style questions that relate to this standard (geared toward a 4th grade audience), create a question slide and an answer slide, and then create an internaut-style character to use on their slides.
This is a lesson plan used in Early Childhood Education1 to teach students about Creative Arts. Course is for 10-12th grade.
The Crying Quilt lesson plan.
This is a one-day lesson intended to fill a 60-75 minute class period. It is intended to review basic safety and sanitation principles with students as well as extend learning into deeper topics. This lesson is intended to be a review, but also to fill in gaps in student learning and understanding. The worksheet aspect is so that students have a tangable take-away from the activity. It also slows them down and makes them absorb the information more.
Students will learn about the functions and purposes of responsible dating including dating behaviors, values, responsibilities and refusal skills.
Students will be able to explore their feeling on love. They will first write down their feelings. Then as a class talk about love and infatuation, and what the differences are. Students will learn about the Ladder of Love and write a love poem of their own.
Students will be able to describe the decision-making process, including acceptance of personal responsibility for the consequences of the decision and describe the decision-making process (identify problem, brainstorm possible solutions, explore and evaluate, make a decision and act on it, evaluate and accept responsibility for results).
This lesson will teach students about using and citing sources in their digital presentations. They will demonstrate their understanding by completing a project that requires finding images online, and giving credit for those sources that are used. A comprehensive six day unit on the study of eggs, their structure, sizes, grades, nutritional value, functions in recipes, preparation techniques, and storage guidelines.
Students experiment to create a color using primary colors and black and white. They learn the color wheel and values.
Playing games is fun, builds class unity, and teaches concrete lessons. Two games that teach communication skills are Cosmic Motions and Silent Ball. Students practice sending and receiving messages (nerf balls). They practice eye contact, focusing despite distractions, nonverbal communication, getting along with others, problem solving, and listening skills.

There are many different kinds of family structures that function together as a unit. Family activities help family relationships grow and contribute to family pride and unity.
Students will know how to sort and wash various laundry items.
This is a lesson plan to end a unit on Family History. During the unit, students learned about their family history, cultural background, and personal beliefs, values, and perceptions. Students will create a "Family Coat of Arms" to share their story digitally using Apple Keynote. (Picture is my own family crest creation)
