This panel discussion provides a look the digital divide in Utah, and educational leaders' response to the need for equitable home technology access. The panelists will share solutions and challenges that some urban, suburban, and rural districts in Utah experienced during the COVID-19 school dismissal, lessons learned, and their recommendations for addressing the digital divide in education.

eMedia is a digital library of educational resources created specifically for Utah educators. It is a collection of state-licensed and open educational resources -- from videos and images, to lesson plans and activities, to textbooks and full courses. In eMedia, you can explore materials cerated by others, create, remix, and share your own resources, and collaborate with educators across the state in the eMedia online community.

This resource includes a pdf file of an infographic. The infographic displays a quick overview of web resources and productions provided by the Utah Education Network (UEN) professional development team. These resources were the focus of UEN's presentations at UCET 2021.

This is a VR tour template created by the Utah Education Network. It is meant to guide educators through sharing virtual reality tours that contain all the necessary components for teacher and student success. Remix this template each time you share a VR tour in eMedia.   When you edit each section of the lesson plan template, replace the template description with your own content. Add files and links to each section as needed. Remember to replace the preview image with an openly licensed screen capture that represents your tour. After completing the sections included in this template, click "next" at the top of your screen. This is when you will replace this overview with your own brief description of your tour. You will also be asked to finalize your resource details (metadata), including connections to state curriculum standards. Please do not skip these details. eMedia is a digital library of free educational resources created specifically for Utah educators. eMedia allows you to explore, create, and collaborate with educators around the state to improve curriculum. In this session, learn the basics of exploring eMedia resources using search functions, filters, curated collections, and hubs. Learn how to create and share your own resources using the Open Author tool and UEN's lesson plan template. And learn how to use eMedia's collaboration and feedback tools to build your online professional learning network.
