This is a whole set of collections that includes the 2nd grade's lesson plans, assessments, and Spanish versions.

This lesson plan is designed to provide students with the opportunity to participate in engaging activities to review previously learned strategies for adding 3-digit numbers within 1,000, as well as practice in explaining their thinking as they solve addition problems.  

This class activity is designed to introduce young learners to the concept of tree diagrams. This class activity requires learners to organize data about the individual student's physical characteristics(gender, hair and eye color) utilizing connecting cubes. The activity includes a follow up activity, questions, tips on getting started, a teacher resource page, and a printable version of the problem.

This activity provides an opportunity for students to work on spatial visualization and number sense together. Learners are presented with a hundred grid and told there is another printed on the reverse side. They must work out the unseen numbers for several positions on the grid. Ideas for implementation, extension and support are included along with a printable sheet of grids.
