Jen Jones from Quest Academy K-9 Charter School -- a NASA Solar System Ambassador and Space Foundations Teacher Liaison Officer -- presents to virtual attendees about NASA resources for the classroom at the 2021 Utah Coalition for Educational Technology Conference.
SPACE NERD TEACHERS UNITE! Crewed missions to the Moon are right around the corner, Percy (Perseverance) the rover on Mars, the largest and most powerful rocket ever built shipped out of Utah headed for Kennedy Space Center, and NASA is igniting young minds like never before. Teachers will learn how to get free resources from NASA for use in the classroom (both digital and physical). Lesson plans, stickers, posters, STEM activities, contests. You will even learn how to borrow LUNAR SAMPLES your students can view up close. Win a free STEM assembly for your school (virtual or in-person as rules permit). Learn how your student's projects can be displayed on an international website to be viewed by students around the world. Attendees will also have first priority for future PD presented by a NASA representative coming to Northern Utah this spring. ALL SUBJECT AREAS (K-12) invited!
