The Ultimate Demo Slam: Utah Google Certified Trainer Edition is an action-packed hour of pure Google Workspace excitement! The Google Certified Trainers in Utah will vie to become the Demo Slam master by presenting one SLAM* each. Participants will watch, learn, discuss, and ultimately judge which Demo Slam will be deemed ultimate Google champion for 2022! Come be a part of this annual part of the UCET experience!

Our purpose is to help educators enter the world of coding in elementary. The idea of this workshop is to help teachers, regardless of prior experience in CS, jump right in and see how they can start making it a part of their classroom. In the workshop, participants will participate in entry level coding and computational thinking activities that they can learn and take right into the classroom to engage with students. They'll be introduced to coding concepts in a simple and learner focused approach to help participants learn the basics. Additionally, we'll discuss how they can use it in a cross-curricular setting. Educators will leave the sessions with their new CS skills, ideas for the classroom, how to provide differentiation, and platform space to continue to practice their new skills themselves and with students.

In this panel presentation, elementary and secondary school level coaching teams (technology, literacy, and instructional coaches) will discuss how they collaborate to increase the impact of their coaching at their schools. District-level coaches and administrators will discuss how they have structured support and facilitated the implementation of school coaching teams. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions.

This EdCamp is a collaboration between Alpine, Provo, Nebo, and Juab school districts and Utah Valley University. An EdCamp is a free public events that leverages the knowledge and experiences of attendees by allowing educators to collaboratively determine topics for discussion the day of the event. Educators facilitate sessions by using their experiences to drive conversation with their peers. Educators are encouraged to find EdCamp sessions that best meet their needs to maximize learning.
