In this French lesson, students will watch a video, take virtual field trips, and invent a dialogue to enrich their understanding of shopping in France. They will learn about the typically French cultural practice of semi-annual national sales: Les Soldes. They will engage their social and emotional skills by practicing how to appreciate diversity, how to motivate themselves, and how to communicate with others.

In this French lesson, students will watch a video about ordering in a bakery and explore a French restaurant to invent a dialogue in which they order food. They will witness a widespread cultural practice of France. They will engage their social and emotional skills by practicing how to appreciate diversity, how to evaluate, and how to communicate with others.

This activity is to assess whether Spanish 2 students have mastered the reflexive verbs which describe a daily routine for getting ready for the day. Students have been taught the verbs' meanings and how to conjugate them. Students have practiced writing, speaking and listening to these reflexive verbs for two weeks.The World Language Standard for Spanish 2 I would use is NH.PC.3 ¨I can present on familiar and everyday topics using simple sentences most of the time.¨
