    Background for Teachers/Parents

Some children may not have a lot of access to certain foods and may not eat foods that you think may be typical. Be sensitive to family situations and provide resources for those in need.

Exposure to several food items is important to young children and will help build their taste preferences.

Be aware that some children may have food sensitivities, sensory adversities, and some could have medical complications related to the mouth or swallowing.

    Intended Learning Outcomes

Children will name 3 healthy foods to fuel their body.
