    Correspondence and Cardinality

    Correspondence and Cardinality

    Overview

Children will count out objects by touching the objects as they count them. Ask them to answer how many they counted.

    Summary

Children will count out objects by touching the objects as they count them. Ask them to answer how many they counted.

As an extension, provide objects that are different colors or shapes.  Sort them into groups and ask them to identify which group has more or less objects in it.

As children are ready, have them match numerals to the objects counted.
