Essential Question: What decisions do we all make about freedom?


Have your students written a 1st person narrative from the viewpoint of a slave who followed the Underground Railroad to escape to Canada to freedom? Include where he/she started, the way stations along the route, information about the people who helped, risks and dangers encountered, etc.
