I really like your lesson plan. What I enjoyed the most is the simplicity of the lesson and the final product. By learning shapes, how to draw them, and how to use them, students are getting a complete understanding and useful teaching moment.
It is a beautiful frame that you chose, Mondrian style. I would have had the kids practice on a wipe board until they were able to draw the shapes correctly.
I wonder why did you repeat the steps three times?
I am sure they will be looking for shapes in other drawings and will enjoy copying them to make their own art.
