Overview

This is a lesson plan to have students write a narrative story about a time they were injured. They will then create a digital story from that paper using Adobe Spark.  They will have five slides, five voice overs, and music to the slides.

After writing a paper, students will use Adobe Spark to create a digital story of a time they were injured.  It needs to include five slides.

  • To teach this lesson, you will need an understanding of Adobe Spark. You will also need to understand narrative writing.  Students need to create 5 sentences to describe an injury they've had. They will create five slides.

 

Step 1 - Goals and Outcomes

 

Learning Intentions:

  • Students will be able to create a digital story using Adobe Spark.
  • Students will be able to create a five sentence narrative story about an injury they have had.

Success Criteria:

  • Students will create a digital story using Adobe Spark about an injury they have had.

Step 3 - Instruction

Everyone has been hurt before. Think of an injury you have had and the events that surrounded it. What kind of day was it? Where were you?  Who was with you?  What happened when you got hurt? What did you do after you were hurt?

You will be writing a personal narrative describing your injury. It needs to include details that describe:

Who, what, when, where.

There needs to be an opening sentence

Three describing details with the who, what, when and where questions answered.

It also needs to include a closing sentence.

 

After that, you will be creating a digital story with Adobe Spark.  There will need to be five slides, with five pictures, five slides of your voice, and music added to it.  You will present it on another day.
