I added the discussion feature recommended by Jared. I think it will be a great way to facilitate the discussion and help create deeper meaning for the students.

I like the focus on the ISTE standards in this lesson and that you are having students collaborate and create with one another. I really like that this lesson allows for students to show their understanding of the topic in a non-quiz type of assessment and allows for students to work together and share ideas. I'm wondering with your discussion that you are having about ISTE standard 2b if you have any plan for facilitating the discussion. For instance you could show the standard to the class and say I want you to circle all of the words/phrases you know and underline the ones you don't know. In the process of the discussion students will learn about the words or phrases they have underlined. It doesn't have to be that particular task, but something like that could help with student understanding and participation in the discussion.

Thanks for the feedback. I love the idea of having students circle what they know and underline what they don't know. That will really help them analyze their understanding of the standard. It will also help me facilitate the discussion. Thanks!
