Playing with Sounds & Words

Playing with Sounds & Words

Choose an activity for the Reading Rockets link below and enjoy playing with sounds with your child(ren).

As children are ready, practice the skills learned across settings. Playing with and manipulating sounds is a great foundational reading skill.

As an extension, you can listen to and create songs that focus on rhyming and manipulation of sounds.  For example, sing Down by the Bay.
