This lesson plan may be used by teachers to teach their peer tutors how to create a digital story on disability awareness in conjunction with a disability that they have previously researched. It may also be used in a social studies class where students have previously studied civil rights, equality, and education laws.

This Genius Hour project will focus on student’s in special education and their IEP transition goals related to their career interests. Students will select one career of interest to them and conduct research, interview people in the field, job shadow, etc. to develop a presentation on their findings.
