This lesson will help students understand how the brain develops during adolescence and how alcohol affects the adolescent brain differently than an adult brain.

This lesson helps students understand how alcohol damages the brain, as well as identify the risks of binge drinking, alcohol poisoning, and alcoholism.

Students will be researching and exploring 6 systems of the human body: the muscular system, the skeletal system, the nervous system, the respiratory system, the circulatory system, and the digestive system. Students will be divided into 6 groups, where they will research a assigned body system. From there, each group creates a mini-lesson using the app, Explain Everything, to teach their assigned system, create a life-size diagram of their system, and create jeopardy questions for a class game.

Students will discuss the importance of hygiene. They will conduct a science experiment with potatoes. Students will graph the results of their study.

Students will develop a healthy weight management plan by using the iPad as a way to manage intake and outtake of calories/nutrients. They will also track their exercise and calories burned throughout the day.

This is more like a unit plan that can help you get to know your students individually and help them get to know themselves and each other better.

Fifth grade students will be taught and demonstrate knowledge of various types of cyberbullying.  Students will demonstrate knowledge of ways to appropriate deal with cyberbullying.

Once they are done playing, they can draw a picture and write to tell what they enjoyed the most.

In this lesson students will recognize the difference between reasonable and unreasonable risk, plan to avoid risk, and identify factors that influence decision making.

Students will identify the benefits of relaxation and recognize ways to relax the body and mind in this lesson.

The students are to create a Lucidchart and include 2 lucid charts on the importance of a healthy body image and develop appropriate weight management behaviors. 

Learn From Your Mistakes is a lesson in which students will recognize and discuss the benefits of learning and growing from mistakes and not repeating them.
